I wanted to share my foiling bar with a custom line winder solution.
1. Simple carbon bar with 5 round holes. Everything is kept in place by stopper knots. Some foam added inside for floatation.
2. Safety ring from KiteAttitude.fr
3. Dyneema clutch. Goodbye clam cleats, I won’t be missing you. This is the same as the KISS one sold by kiteboarding.com, with the essential improvement shared here a while ago by Tomtom - Many thanks!! This makes it possible to trim in both directions with the kite in the air. May need to use both hands, but it works. (In the last pic, pull the rope to shorten, then pull the red line to lengthen the rope loop.)
4. Choose your own bar throw and trim - literally any length you want - as long as the rope is not too short.
5. No need for back line adjustments - adjust the front lines instead - the clutch gives you maximum flexibility there.
6. New line winder solution: stick 2 parts in the bar ends, optionally attached with an elastic cord. Only kept there between sessions - put them in your pocket when you fly. Not meant for self rescue on the water, but very handy on the beach. Improvised here from a line winder cut in half.
