The dacron is very stiff, so when folding over the seam-allowence to fix it with 3-zigzag I got a lot of wrinkles and it gets very difficult to sew. How can I manage to reduce wrinkles?
Cut out small triangles where the wrinkles develop until the dacron is lying flat when folded

Well this thread has taken some interesting directions - i love the experimentation with different materials in construction seeking ever lighter kites.

VP22 you have made a truly beautiful job on your 9m - fabulous. However, i am intrigued if you are such a weight weenie, why dont you just lose that single strut - thats going to save you a few hundred grams?

I have now built a full quiver of Wingworks Agilus strutless kites and I couldn't be happier with them - they certainly outperform my BRM Cloud C2s and Storm Voyager 2`s (but then there is always going to be a huge bias factor in how much I love my own blood, sweat and tears creations)

Size wind range approx knots weight
4m 13 -25 1200g
5m 12-20 1600g
7m 8-15 1900g
10m 5-12 2100g

Me 65kg, moses 633, homemade pocket board

In the UK we have been in lockdown for over 5 weeks now - cant go to the beach to fly kites cause of lockdown, cant go to the workshop to make kites cause of social distancing, so I had a crack at putting some pictures of the 4m build that finished just before the new normal began

PanTau - 7m was the first prototype, and you made a few changes on subsequent sizes, in particular more leading edge segments - and these changes are certainly appreciable in the flight quality. The 7 was also my first build so my skills have come on in leaps and bounds. So I need to go back and build another 7 - there is an updated on 7 on github, would it be please be possible to get a pdf plan of this? Or do you have further revisions you have made with the latest Wingcalc updates? Out of curiosity - could I simply upsize the 5m or downsize the 10m to get a 7m plan?

Hi stevet25,

I keep one strut because in my local gusty wind i prefer. Without this strut i'll be probably below or very near 1Kg for 9m² but it doesn't matter. Above i use a concept'air PULSION 12m², it's a very cool kite too for very light wind.
:)

I am planning to go with either A0 or A1 and take it to Fedex to get it printed. Is one preferred over the other?

Fine- I'll prepare you a plan in A1 or A0 of the latest GO version and send you a link to the draft version of my updated howto.
First day of my vacation and guess what I'm doing?
