Hi Kehler,
Just back from a session on the 11m Dash(verson 1: 2017) in 26mph winds... I wanted to try the Dash more as I know the Torch will be great. I am starting to like the Dash now. I flew the Dash on an Ozone bar before and it was slow and not very responsive, flew it today on the correct Naish bar and it was much better. The Dash kiteloops very well and is quick around the loop, great for boosting with decent float in the jumps. I think it was "Dirk" on here that said he didn't like the Dash at first until it "bedded in", I fully agree with this. It seems to me the Dash gets better after a few sessions when the kite has stretched out a little. I still think the Torch is much better unhooked and in super smooth wind would pick a Torch over the Dash. I will definitely review the Torch next session. Can you afford to get an 11m Dash and 11m Torch ? there are some amazing deals out there on the 2019 Torch and 2017 Dash, both very different kites and would work in a quiver well - gusty or strong winds = Dash, smooth winds and unhooking = Torch

Hi Billy.
Thanks for another great insight on the dash, I think, I would go for either the dash or the torch, not a quiver with mixed models. Can’t make up my mind, one big issue is the low end in the torch, not into a kite like the torch in 2017
with no low end.

Not sure if you´re interersted, but it sounds that you might like Eleveight FS. It pops and slacks like c-kites I’ve tried, but jumps really nicely as well. Also the wind range is really something I haven´t experienced before. Look for demo!
I have flown FX twice and while it’s a good kite, I think that FS still has better performance.

Hi, don't know if you bought your gear yet. I use FX myself. 2018 gear though. Good flies dash so I get to use them a lot as well.
First of all I like both and I am sure you will be happy either way. Differences are pretty slim from what I can tell.
However for slack and unhooking I feel the dash is superior. I have to pull the bar a lot for the kite to react. For looping I prefer the fx.
But again, both are great kites
And since you asked for board as well, I ride the naish monarch with boots and am happy with it. Most of my friends use the stomp though

No didn’t buy any yet, having a complete ruptured Achilles from surf.
No action until April.
But think the monarch is me.
Thanks for all inputs, great
Wish you a speedy recovery.
I'd choose Stomp for boots any day, but that's me. Main thing is to get back to the water no matter what board you ride.

Hi Lumil
Went for the stomp in 138cm. must say it’s a brilliant board. Though I think I got it a size to big! I’m only 66kg in weight.
What size do you use and how much do you weigh?

Just a comment: I'm 81kg and the Stomp 138x42.5 would be big enough for me ...

Hi Kehler, I'm still waiting to fly my brand new Torch. Once the UK restrictions get lifted I will still review it on here. Did you buy and new kite ?

Hi Billy.
Yes. Brought the new dash 14-12-10. Getting them next week then I can give my review of them.
I’m gonna wait till sep 2020 till the new torch comes out. I think it’s gonna be the last torch ever to come out.
