I've thinking for years to go up from 90 to 100cm mast. Is it much more difficult ? I'm strong intermediate doing flying foot switches, gybes and heel to toe side tacks (tacks in one direction so far).
If shallows are not an issue - do it! It’s more fun to fly higher and edge harder. It feels good when you fly through a wave and sometimes you kind of brace for a wing breach but you just ride it off on a long mast

Hi Tom, I prefer 111 for all types of riding. everything is easier as the wing is rarely going to breach in tacks, gybes and riding thru waves. You would get used to the longer mast within 20 minutes of riding. if you look at the videos of the Slingshot team rider Fred Hope it seems he chooses the long mast for free ride & freestyle. plus if you want to race its a no brainer.

Thanks, I ordered a 100cm mast. It will fit in my car. I´m not a Moses rider anymore. I may come back, but took another path for now.

So I tested 425 stabilizer with 679 wing today.
105cm mast. 710 fuselage. 36” board. 5m SST on 23m lines. Wind 14-18 knots
First session was on 679 and shimmed 450 as a base/benchmark. Second on 679 and 425.

I’ve been riding 695/420 for two weeks in January and rode 695/425 on local lake last week since lockdown has been eased. So that’s how the first, “benchmark/base” 679/450 session reminded me why I like 695 so much - the 679 felt more playful and even though I spent most of 2019 on 683s I think I like 695 more.

The second, 679/425 session was pretty awesome - the stabilizer makes the wing cruise a bit faster, but not by much. It’s stable just enough, maybe a bit more than 450 and I didn’t feel any need for higher takeoff speed nor higher lowend which I felt both trying 720/325 (as compared to 720/325).

A major change was foot position as my front foot shifted about 3” back.

I will try to move fuselage an inch forward to see if foot position recovers, yet 450 while even shimmed has too forward of foot position.

I should try 679/483 vs 679/425 but overall I like 425 as a single universal stabilizer so far.

Interesting, I will try my 425 with 679. Had you tried the 483 stab that is sold normally with 679?

That will be one of next attempts - to test 679/483 vs 679/425
I like how 483 flies but I hate its wingtips which look like daggers and are pointed down. Folks reported successful sanding/rounding of 483 tips but I just moved to 450 last year (and had to shim it to preserve the stance)

I think I’d need to shim the 425 pointing it a degree down or move the mast forward by an inch to achieve same stance as I had with 483 stabilizer

I'm hoping your experience with 425 might mean I can get away from current mast position so far back from 645 wing. Inches now.

Does anyone know anything about the Moses T35 board that is highlighted in the 2020 catalog?
https://moseshydrofoil.com/storage/down ... _rev01.pdf
I'm curious if it is replacing the T22 which I did not see in the catalog. I hope to be getting a 633 setup in the next few months and am looking at board options. I have done demo's of the 633 with both the T22 and T38 and liked the T22 better for strapless riding.
Thanks
Wondering if anyone has heard anything new or tried the Moses T35 Carbon Rail board. I see that some shops have them listed already. I'm curious to know what the final dimensions are. The Moses catalogue (v1.1) says 115 x 44 x 3.5 cm while shop websites show 108 x 45.5 x 4 cm.

Awesome to see Moses come through in making the 671 for the kite fuselage.

Did two days of riding testing 695/425 vs 679/483 vs 679/450 and here are my conclusions:
- I didn’t like 483 as much as I did before. It makes the foil too skatey and seems to need a tad more power to go
- the 695 starting speed and lowend is not as low as of 679. You can feel it when wind lulls.

To keep feet in same position on the board for above three combinations I needed to:
- shim 450 pointing it up
- shim 425 pointing it down and move mast 20mm forward
