Its telling that Real + Mackite got on board with this. If it wasn’t the bees knees they wouldn’t have added it to their catalogs considering they have business deals with a bunch of other major brands who maybe are not too happy about it.
Personally if I was OR I wouldn’t let Real sell Aluula without carrying the entire OR line. I understand why. Just seems a bit unfair to the longtime OR dealers.

Stenner- OR not having catagory leading products?? The Flite has absolutely SLAYED the competition since 2014!
Mako? Check. Soul? Check. Stick shift? Yep.
Nuzzo somewhat reluctant? I thought he sounded completely stoked! must be, if they are willing to bring in aluula to compete with some premium price brands they already carry...

Its not like Im able to afford aluula at this point but if it pushes the whole industry towards actual innovation im all for it. The price is high now but its at a level where I can see it moderating down to almost reasonable in the future as production/competition increases over the coming years.
I doubt it. Once they set that mark all the other greedy fat cats will find it acceptable to boost there own products up to that price worth it or not. All the brands
Have been gradually adding a bit hear and there and all the others have though if they can o can hence kites gone from £500-£600 to now £1500-£1600 a kite average over the last ten years. The advances have been minimal for that rise. A bar you can click but does the same as a few knots, a kite that’s slightly more stable and quicker and flies in lighter wind with a slightly bigger wind range.
Ten years ago, I distinctly remember paying 500 for USED or 600 maybe for a 7m clearance kite. About the same as now. Twenty years ago- Yeah 500 msrp for new kite- Factor the inflation for that time period......

Dont get me wrong, believe me I wish an aluula kite was 500 bucks!

For a 10m three strut LEI kite with that little wind on the water that is truly amazing.

I'm surprised there aren't any Aluula Wing's out on the market, judging by the diameter of the LE and struts on the good ones Aluula would be a no brainer for creating a super stiff smaller strutted wing.

I concur that this would be amazing for winging and it seems that the improvement in performance would be even greater compared to kites.

I assume that Aluula is exclusive to Ocean Rodeo and they are busy enough just rolling out the kites. Probably best for my financial situation as I already will break the bank trying to come up with money for a 10M Roam. Ha ha !

I was quite surprised to see the kite behavior at the beginning of the video when tested on the ground where it overflies the guy and loses line tension...

Same with the comment at the end that both models tested have an « i love you - i hate you » feeling in the bar... i guess he means non consistent power delivery...

Both observations very unlike what I experienced when I demoed the roam 10 aluula black last fall for 3hrs in very gusty Light winds...

Anybody who flew the roam aluula gold and would care to comment?
Thanks
