I think they wont have the new aluula bladders in this version, someone correct me if I am wrong, but i think the first version will have only the dacron leading edge replaced.

There is no such thing as an Aluula bladder. In some early videos from Surf Expo last August they said something about experimenting with different films or something to replace bladders. I thought there might be an Aluula bladder then too, but when I asked last month they said there is no such thing as an Aluula bladder. The weight difference cannot be attributed to that

Someone else posted about making a wing out of Aluula. I said the same thing at Surf Expo! It makes a lot of sense as there is so much weight in the Dacron as a percentage of the total wing weight (handles seem to be the next biggest weight). But Aluula can't even make enough material for Ocean Rodeo kites yet so wings will be a while.

In which case the previous Ocean Rodeo advertised weight of 2.2kg for the Flite Gold 14.5m has unaccountably increased to 2.6kg (+18%).

Weight saving of 21%

Aluula roam 10m 2.1kg (only just light than 1 strut Dacron ozone alpha @ 2.2kg)
Dacron roam 10m 2.85kg
Weight saving of 26% (Aluula roam version has thinner leading edge and struts, so some weight saving there alone)

Would be good to get a response from oceanrodeo on the weight gain over their prototype kites.
They had a prototype 12m flight @ 1.78kg in one of their early promotional videos.

I am still impressed with the footage I am seeing of the Aluula kites in action.
A combination of lighter weight and stiffer air frame makes for a higher performance kite.

Will be getting a Aluula roam 10m for foiling. So will know soon enough, If all this hype turns into reality.

But, for their prototypes, Ocean Rodeo alos used aluula for the bladder (explaining the weight reduction). The founder of Ocean Rodeo explains it in an interview a few weeks ago on the kitesurf 365 podcast.
So maybe for the next generation, we will have this type of kite. And for the next one, a full aluula kite (leading edge, struts, bladder and canopy). I think this is a marketing strategy (now firing all the inovations at once) and also giving time to the production to increase and thus avoiding the price to rocket.

I assume that Aluula is exclusive to Ocean Rodeo and they are busy enough just rolling out the kites.

Nope, I think they even created a new company to develop Aluula (it's a joint venture between Ocean Rodeo and someone else) and OR licences it from the Aluula company. It's available to all.

Found this video. Maybe some hardcore, non-biased surfers can tell me what they see in the video. I suck in surf so to me anyone on wave looks good, but I can't say for sure how well it looks like the kite is doing.
