are they, especially the 1100 overly stiff (in negative way) in turning ability etc., please?
Thanks!
Yes, they are stiff. But when I change the stabilizer to, say, the 325, or 425, or 380, etc, they become much, much more playful. Not as playful as the 633 though. It is very hard to reach that same balance with larger front wings.
I find that I really don't get way more low end with the larger wings, than the 633. The 633 has pretty good low end, but when going really slow you still need to be active to stay on foil. On kite, with the 790 and for sure the 873, the kite seems to always want to go a little too fast, so I feel overpowered typically. With a small stab you can both feel overpowered but be able to carve the foil (thru the yaw access more than the roll axis). I more or less give up using the 873 on a kite.
But now that I've started winging, and ride slower, usually, that 873 and 1100 allow for comfortable carving.
I can't imagine using the 1100 for kiting, although I haven't tried.
The 790 is probably the best choice in my opinion if you want a little bit more glide that the 633 offers. You can pump the 790 better, but you do give up a little manueverability.
Hope that helps.
