I don’t know how far it will go, but I love it as an innovative concept.

Guys, we are grown men (& women) that spend our weekdays dreaming of getting into the water to fly a kite and rip on top of a board that has an axe underneath. We argue about grams of weight, every possible design angle, the thickness of the screws, and sanding the trailing edge of our stabilizers.
Just imagine Bruno legaignoux, Laird Hamilton and company thinking -But Why?- instead of pushing every possible boundary for the last 30 years.
Again, I don’t know if this “invention” will stick, but I love the spirit of never thinking “this is it”

This is true. Never stop innovating..even if it flops it may inspire another idea which could change everything.

Maybe instead of a system like this where it's designed to constantly adjust a wings trim for the rider, may not be what kiteboarders need.. but maybe another system that allows you to change between different aspect ratio, wing sweep or something..

I spend my days working with computers, and I like not having computers involved in my hobbies. I'd take good old drums/bass/guitar over electro any time, and same thing applies to preferring "old school" foiling over computerized pitch control.

I think kiters like the act of finely balancing all the elements, all the forces involved in that game, and I see that automation going against that core principle. Maybe use that technology on e-foils, stand anywhere on the board, press the throttle and you're all set. I see that as a great technology for other foiling vessels, maybe foil bikes, foiling canoes, pédalo ... things where the foiling feeling wouldn't be the end result, but just a way to improve efficiency when going from A to B. But I don't believe kitefoiling is the right application.

Maybe the flaps help to give the hydrofoil a better range. Extending the lowend by being a more cambered wing and better top speed by straightening the profile out. Who knows maybe in a future generation they get it to extend the wing surface area like flaps on a aeroplane.

There could be some good possibilities, but it all depends on their goals. If it is just to make a self-flying / idiotproof foil to help learners, then BORING.

I knew this was coming. I think it will be on every eFoil in 5 years, which will really open up eFoiling to the masses. And who knows? It may be on race kite foils in the future. This tech may make the foils faster with micro adjustments?
