Got my insta 360 1R on a harness mount. Mainly use it for re-framing the video in post production in 2D..
But decided to export some 360 degree footage.. It's really interesting. Both FB and Youtube now support 360 videos.
Check it out..
On FB, best to watch horizontally and also pinch-in with two fingers to zoom out..
On Youtube must watch in full screen mode if you want to have zoom-out controls.
FB:
(FB can fully zoom out.. best view angle. Switch to 1600 resolution)
YouTube:
(Youtube you can zoom out a bit in full screen mode only. Switch to 4K resolution)
Not sure if it was foggy or maybe you did something wrong in the exporting workflow, but the picture is really washed out and stitching is really off. My MAx produces much better quality and stitching.
I think that is pretty amazing. Be great for teaching so you can watch foot position on the board and then watch again but focused on the kite. Much less distorted than most of the 360 videos I've seen.
But the camera is WITHOUT the dive case.. Dive case ruins everything.. So I now ride without it.. A bit of danger of running the camera as it's not meant for impact.
