gong has no kitefoil anymore?

Postby Kiter_from_Germany » Fri Jul 24, 2020 2:56 pm

would have liked to get a kitesurf foil setup from gong.
The pro line (carbon) would be nice...

Interestingly they seemed to quit the complete kitesurf foil setup from their website.
Anyone knows whats going on there?

Have another look...I think you missed something. All still there. Did you use a smartphone?

It's the french version of the website, but there are still 3 choices for the Gong Allvator kitefoil. But because they are launching a new lineup of foil for the Wing, maybe they are also updating their products for the kite.

Speaking of Gong, they've made very good video about their new wing foil, it's a little bit technical, but very interesting.

Yes.
Im here in vacations and I use smartphone.
Just the chaptors surf, sup, kite and wing.
Didnt find the 3cs line (kitefoil boards) or successor at all.

It just surprised me cause I thought kitesurf foil line would be pretty successful...

But can be reorg process or redesign of webpage OS based artefact (android is mine) or just my lack of knowledge where to look or so.

From the sales standpoint not a good thing to make access a little difficult, anyway. Hope they continue with this line.

Thanks Baptiste for putting the vid.

They do have kitefoils on their website https://www.gong-galaxy.com/en/category ... tefoil-en/.
But those new carbon masts and large wings are listed as surf foils https://www.gong-galaxy.com/en/category ... urfoil-en/.

Any of the gong wings, Rise( classic), Curve ( Pro) and Veloce in size M are excellent kite foils. All are carbon/ glass / kevlar.

As I go through yr hints, I realize they have still a nice setup for kitefoiling.

If someone of you knows the guys from gong, perhaps a remark makes sense, that their webpage is not too friendly for customers, new to their product setup.

Which works for what,
which works together
are there set discounts and so would be fine.

An compazibility list would be nice.

My question:
Does a standard shovel work with their carbon 70cm mast? What would be the best setup for kitefoiling (10-15kn, 100Kg)... and so on.

Of course they are willing to go that through, personally. Im sure.

But easy access it is not, actually.

If you start with the mast page https://www.gong-galaxy.com/en/product/ ... t-70-surf/ then on the bottom they list the compatible options. I bought this mast together with the M Pro Clear wing and 40cm surf stab, and I am very happy with my choice. I am about 80kg, the wing allows starting with very little power. I do not have much idea what is the best for 100kg will the same setup will be good or you need the next larger wing.

I agree all foil websites are confusing.

Kite foiling you should choose 90 or 100cm mast. Period.
Then at gong , choose rise, curve or Veloce in M size. Period
Which wing set? Rise, curve ( pro) or Veloce? Depends on your skill and needs.
Beginner with trepidation: rise
Beginner with dedication: curve ( pro)
Intermediate( already flying footswitch and transitions) : Veloce
