Hi there. Anyone ridden the Moses 1000 and or 800 and have any comparisons against some of the other Moses foils? I should be getting my 1000 in this week and am considering ordering the 800 today which is why I ask. Currently riding the 790/1100/873/633 and 695 wing foiling. I'll be doing some comparison writeups on all those wings after I ride the 1000 and maybe the 800. Just hoping for some 800 feedback.
Thanks!

If I had to guess the reasons would be:
- because there were two new wings replacing it
- low demand along with higher manufacturing cost of race gear
- Moses tradition to retire last year race gear the moment the new line is announced

With all do respect, if you read the link there is no useful information in that thread, nor is there any analytical information. I was hoping someone who wings could share some insight on the characteristics of these foils. But that thread has none.
I went ahead and ordered the foils and will provide some useful comparisons for others who are experimenting with wing foiling and various Moses wings. I see Mike's Lab guys out testing foils constantly and constantly providing feedback to Mike. It is this precise, detailed information regarding foil characteristics which I am after.

Also interested to hear your thoughts after riding the 800 or 1000

Are you planning to use 1000 wingfoiling or with a kite?
Because it might be amazing replacement for 695 which is pretty small for wingfoiling, and 1000 would be way faster and way more pitch and roll stable than 679 for same purpose at same area yet too roll stable for kitefoiling.
Besides overly roll stable at 1000 wingspan it would certainly stick out of water when edging so I’m concerned even 800 would do too.
Yet the lowend, the speed and stability at speed is what is attracting me in 800

Because it might be amazing replacement for 695 which is pretty small for wingfoiling, THE 695 WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY SWEET WINGING - CARVE SUPER HARD WHEN POWERED and 1000 would be way faster and way more pitch and roll stable than 679 for same purpose at same area yet too roll stable for kitefoiling. AGREE
Besides overly roll stable at 1000 wingspan it would certainly stick out of water when edging so I’m concerned even 800 would do too. I DOIESNT - WING BOARDS RIDE SUPER FLAT. BUT THE THING WHISTLES LIKE NO OTHER!
Yet the lowend, the speed and stability at speed is what is attracting me in 800
I rode the 1000 yesterday on the wing. Unbelievable! That is by far the best foil yet! I ride the 1100 873 790 683 633 and 695 on the wing, but the 1000 is the best of them all!
I don't own the 679 and haven't tried it.
I have the 800 coming in next week.
I rode it with the 72cm but I may use the 91 or 101 in the future. But you have to ride it flat anyway on the wing because there just isn't the pull to lean much, and the 72 worked just fine. But the foil was wider than my mast was long!
I have a new quiver of peak4s that I've yet to unbox, but I hope to try these foils with them in the upcoming months.

I’d call what’s happening now “a manufacturers’ transition to large area high aspect wings”
Evolution of foiling as I see it
- We started with shovel-shaped large thin wings
- Then we switched to small high aspect race wings
- Then we started adding back large thick wings and that’s when market exploded in demand because those were easy to ride. We adapted “surf/SUP” to kiting.
- Yet we still needed large high aspect thin wings for more freeride fun/speed and they seem to be coming. We’re adapting “windsurf” wings to kiting
We probably going to end up with three kinds of wings
- beginner wings - sturdy, large, low aspect, safe
- freeride wings - high aspect, thin, a line of sizes
- surf wings - high aspect, thick, a line of sizes

Interesting observation, one that I think is dead on. I see Mike's Lab out testing foils and making improvements, and that is definitely the direction they are going. After riding one of that style I can see why!
Brilliant observations!
