This is my new split-foil-skate.
fact sheet:
Lenght 1.32m
Width 0.47m
Splitted lenght x width: 0.73m x 0.47m
total volume 7.5 liter
Core material: B-Comp B-Core QX Balsa (density approx. 195g/liter)
Core thickness 15mm --> 8mm at tip
Rocker: 1 cm starting in front of the foil-mount, total 85mm at the tip (zero-point at foil-mount)
Layup: 80g/sqm Textreme -- 300g/sqm triax carbon -- core -- 450g/sqm triax carbon
upside-down lamination so that the "more ugly" side is on the bottom
All edges ABS 3D printed, connection profile also ABS 3d printed
+++ split-systems seems to be rigid enough (we will see!!)
+++ stiffness is okay for a 15mm plate
--- a bit heavy (3.2kg)
--- foil-mount maybe a bit to far at the tail
--- HEAVY!
--- I hate the colour of the deck pad, it´s a bit too thick anyway
--- this is HEAVY for a small skate !!!
reminder for myself: Check if it´s a final sinker with the cabrinha foil before you throw it into deep water
Did I mention already this is a bit heavy? I´m gonna built a new one, a bit smaller with some improvements at 2.5 - 2.7kg.
