smallest cleat?

Postby merl » Thu Aug 13, 2020 10:02 am

I've been building a bunch of bars and testing out a bunch of different trim adjustment systems, including rear-line internal (pinxto style) and external (infexion style), as well as double-ring lock (like the double ring stopper on the KISS bar), and front line using a splice cleat. These all work, more or less, but on my biggest kite (12m pulsion foil) I have decided I want to go back to a clam cleat style as this is the one kite I feel I want to adjust frequently, and I am not finding the back line adjusters quite to my taste for this.

Apart from the classic clamcleats are there any newer even smaller cleats that work well on thinner (3-4mm) line - or is the classic still the best bet?

I actually still like the feel of the old cobra cleat, but on a light carbon bar it just feels too big and heavy...

Yeah thanks - never saw the 5th line cleat before. Smaller than the ones usually used. Worth a look..
