Got the slash S25 delivered 2 hours ago.
Tomorrow 30 knots of wind in the forecast!!!
Well done xanpet!
Nothing like a fresh new kite to motivate.
Would appreciate a review of your new 7m Slash if you can spare the time.
Cheers.
First up sorry for my english (i'm dutch)
WOW, that was a great downwinder yesterday!
Coming of a quiver of liquidforce WOW V4 that can be my only comparison.
The slash has a very smooth power delivery in comperision with the wow, i guess that comes because the canpoy doens't flutter.
The wind was gusting till 35 knots and was at some time riding overpowered, but even with an fair amount of depower on the bar it performs really good.
The slash is a quick kite but i have the feeling the wow is a little bit faster thru the powerzone (but with a shakey/flutter canopy) so i prefer a bit less speed but more stabitity.
I think both kites are great but the slash gives such a smooth ride that i prefer that one.
The only downside i can think of is the small bag and the non PU coated centerline on the bar.
The wind is picking up now so i'll be going for another session.

I recieved my new pivot 12m LE yesterday. I noticed Naish now recommends 6 t0 8 PSI....I wonder if they were having warranty issues with the 11psi from the past few years...
I am still going to pump mine up to at least 9 psi....I do believe you notice the diffence in flight quality..
Interesting, is that written on the LE or you did read it in the booklet that's coming w/ the kite?
Its printed on the leading edge..

Quietly... (kind of)
In this case, what to do with previous models for which, much higher pressure is recommended? I don't think there's big difference between last and previous models design/materials.
That opens quite a few questions...

I pumped my 11m Pivot 2020 yesterday just by feel, as I used to do it. Pretty hard, nice ping, just like a well inflated volley ball. I looked at the gauge (Naish Pump) and I think it was around 9psi (LE states 10,5 as recommendation). It was very gusty, I was overpowered at times, but the kite flew as well as always. I think I will keep it like this, just to be on the safe side...

I thought this was a big plus of the pivot that you could pump it up to 10.5 psi. This year they only change the bridle and apparently you are not allowed to pump the kite so hard anymore. Very weird ...

2019 Pivot = 2020 Pivot (+new inflation system & rigidity increasing seam in the canopy) = 2021 Pivot (+new bridle). Yes?
