I had The Skate (Carbon) 1999 and now the Wave (carbon) 2020. Wave is much more dynamic and fun for me. Can't explain why the difference is that much.

I also have both. A Skate in 110cm and Wave in 100cm, both full carbon. Wave is much more nimble, has a bigger scoop. I haven’t wanted to ride my skate ever since getting the Wave. I ride a Moses 633 only strapless.

Is that finish on those boards smooth? It looks rough.

Smooth. I like white, keeps the internal temps down and easy to spot and won’t fade as quickly.

you guys sold one to me...
just ordered the wave... 123 cm... nice number... rode a moses t 35 2 days ago and it felt a little short... so i think about 120 would be good length for me.
I use the S 325 Stab for the 633 which moves the mast position about 6 cm forward compared to S483.
Maybe Groove could make different sizes of the Wave , small, medium and large.

Good decision. Groove will make you whatever you want really? I did mine shorter, full carbon composite, with a concave deck instead of a convex. I kinda wished they put more concave in but I am very happy with my board. The bag has been upgraded too. Plan on releasing a video of the two sometime in the near future.

thanks, a video would be really cool...
Concave, Convex, Flat..... so many options...
I like my old waveboard with a concave deck....
i wonder what the deck shape does on a foilboard...
Why did you change concave to convex ?

I went the opposite. The board comes from Groove with convex and I wanted it concave. Something I missed from my dwarfcraft. To me it gives more control strapless. I’ve never ridden a board with convex so I don’t know how that feels.

so lets see how the convex Wave rides compared to my concave wave board that indeed does stick quite nicely to my feet riding strapless.
I wonder why Groove makes it convex, there must be a reason....
