Guy standing on the beach does not even touch his bar.
Fully sheeted out

Guy jumping also fully sheeted out. But defenetly sends it.

I guess monster gust is pushing hard.

Question:
Imagine he would have done a good jump, with holding edge and not screaming downwind.... my guess is, that he would have landed in the bushes downwind?

Good point, if controlled jump he wouldn’t have space for it...if he would be very good level it is possible, but then he would have waited for clear area.

So I vote for our of control.

Best wishes to anybody who got hurt! Presumably the jumper was going for an aerial transition. The body dragger realised he hadn't killed enough forward speed and was going for the trees and, in a moment of inspiration, decided to break his fall by catching him in his kite. Impressive!

The guy jumping rides quite nicely before the jump in my opinion. I doubt that he is a proper beginner.

The other day I almost crashed helping a very good kiter recovering his board. For some complete random reason he body dragged straight into my lines as I was drifting downwind to throw the board below him. Some times people just do silly things regardless of level. Being that powered up I don't see why you would ever move that close to the beach - unless you know that the people on the beach are knowledgeable and watching so that they can move away if necessary.

A dude did a jump transition straight into my lines last week. Some people are so busy looking at the their admirers on the shore that they forget to look who actually on the water around them. It took me half an hour to swim back to shore (single skin kite) and untangled my bridles. In hindsight I should have kicked his ass, he didn't even apologise.
