Thanks for the pics, it might come in handy one day when I have to start from the water. I can now lay the kite out and swim back to the bar to restart it, but I can only do it with the 8. The 11m I would need more wind it seems, it just a lot harder to make it fill up and start to rise at all.

First day on the 3m. It arrived yesterday and it blew like stink today. What are the odds of that!

Realized a long term mission with it. Rode the choice spot, pretty far from any suitable kite launch. Amazing waves. Swam out in 25 knots. Drifted and popped up perfectly both times. Zero drama. Cranked up to over 30 knots and I was so glad not to be muscling the 4m. Dropped the kite a couple time, it went back up. No drama wet exit. The whole thing felt pretty safe really. My best wave session this season, so far. Shared the spot with a half dozen windsurfers and equal number of wingfoilers. First time I've seen it working. These guys all had it pretty figured out. One was riding away from some decent airs. They get pretty good upwind angle. Better than the windsurfers. Not as good as kite tho. We can load that foil up on its side and get a whole other level. These guys were on pretty small boards but were no where nears as nimble as a kite foil.

I got a chance to experiment with the low wind potential of my Slingshot INF99 foil with the Peak 4 5m yesterday. Happy to report that it made the 8-10mph seabreeze a lot of fun. I could not have ridden as easily with my INF76. That big foil keeps you going at such a low speed it made the lulls very easy to coast through. I could coast out and pick off the little wind swell that was rolling in and really feel the swell with such a big foil under me.

Its not nearly as nimble as my smaller foils, but I mostly got it for prone foiling the smaller days. I have not quite dialed in foil prone surfing yet so I figured this would be a good way to get some time on it. The peak is a great kite for this, it allowed me to practice pumping the foil as well without much power from the kite.

Getting up on my strapless prone board was a challenge in these light winds. Required two down loops to get up, but once up everything was drama free and easy. Never dropped off a foil.

Would I rather have a 13m P4 for these days? Probably. Would certainly make the waterstart a lot easier. But this was still a very fun combo, and one that I will be doing again.

I was kiting in Italy, and an experienced dude told me my 11m had a bit of a kink in it and likely one the bridles had a knot. He said the C provably.

I found no knots and the kite flies fine. Do i start with a mixertest or is he just pulling my leg?

Someone also said in this tread (I have not tried yet myself) that the peak can fly/sit on it's tip without input from the bar. If you anchor the chicken loop and steer the kite low to one side (like a self landing) and leave it there, you should be able to walk up to the kite and have closer look.

Tied it to a pole with 9 knots and parked it, it just sat there not even moving. Had a close look, and it seems one of the A bridles was replaced with new line and looks slightly too short. I'll just order a new line and all should be good again. A bit strange as this was a flysurfer ex-demo and you'd expect a dealer to be able to do a better job replacing a line.

So yesterday was one of those rare summer storms. It was starting easy with 12-18 kn and I was in dreamland with my 5m.
But then from one minute to the other, hell broke loose. Gladly I was cruising near shore to get my 5m down quick. Wind was reaching 30-35 knots.
I then rigged my 4m and gave it a try (3m will be ordered soon). But it was very uncomfortable riding in these conditions. Kite was shaking heavy and when I rode toeside and couldn't keep line tension, the canopy folded like an accordion. The strong canopy with the plastic sticks was ok, but the lower part was affected. After 30 min wash cycle I had enough.
When riding heelside I could maintain line tension and the shape was all good. Have to practice my toeside more and my foot switch to survice in those conditions.

In 30kts my 3m does the same .. 30 kts is just to much for me on the 3m.

Hi ieism . Thanks for the comprehensive reply. My kite is peak 8m. I have looked at the whole kite and everything looks fine. I live near Hilversum and I'd love to meet you to compare these kites

Did you fix your issue of the wing tip collapsing?

Unfortunately not. Despite all attempts at regulation, it did not help. I made the Safety-B line a bit longer and the kite works fine in light winds. However, in the wind of 14-16 kts the tip folds and turns. Today I am sending the kite to Flysurfer Germany.

Did Flysurfer manage to fix it?
