Anyone kiting the easterlies at the gorge (rooster rock) today?

Did Rufus yesterday, about the same chart. Powered 5m, smallish swell, everything backwards, middle of the river was fairly steady, weird and fun. Just two of us out, had to go for a once in lifetime experience.

I wish it was available on YouTube, but back in the day there was a VCR video of a guy windsurfing in 50-60 knots of easterlies in the Gorge, or at least attempting to, using what was probably a 3m sail. Epic!

Screaming waters is the name of the vid. Danny Tsudin (sp) was the rider, 220lbs 3m sail, note the board leash.

Dams are mostly closed so the current is fairly slow. Staying/getting upwind is not a problem but you do have to pay attention which is weird for the gorge. :jump:
