This is the best solution - almost all friction absorbed by the pulley rolling on the 6mm stainless shackle bolt so virtually no rope wear.

Yeah, That works. I used the roller hook on my Dyna bars for years but it pinches my wetsuits and destroys them. Thats why Ive moved to rings

What has the above which is used with a rope slider Stealth bar got to do with a roller hook on a Dyna bar? :?:

When the rope stretches the roller can contact your wetsuit and the suit gets caught up in it

Would you please post a picture of yourself in a wetsuit wearing a harness with a rope slider bar showing how this can occur? Thanks.

Haha ! Im I the only one that this happens to ? I would go through a full, spring and top every year because of that stupid roller hook ! The rope does last a lot longer with it though.

Do you guys from Mars wear a wetsuit only on Earth?
A foot of rope every season is cheaper than a wetsuit though

Have you seen that flat Dyneema webbing that Ion is using on their surf s-bar? It's derived from the rock climbing market (e.g Black Diamond uses it). In my experience it slides on rings (& carabiners) much better than the round rope and it seems to wear better.
When I first tried it I was skeptical, but now I'd rather not go back. I've been trying to find it in bulk since it would be nice to have replacement webbing when needed. I was going to contact some of the climbing brands domestically and see if I can source some.
Wow ! Its $40 ! If you find it in bulk please let me know ! It looks like it would go good with the SMC ringsmc.jpg
The SMC ring Rocks so far ! and it’s only $5 !58EC56E3-C1FC-4843-B890-C521CA0AADE6.jpeg58EC56E3-C1FC-4843-B890-C521CA0AADE6.jpeg
Thanks for the tip -- after seeing yours I got myself one too!

That looks great! Have been using dynabar for several years. Got the stealth bar and harness. How did u make that or where did you get it. Looks like the same pulley/wheel from dynabar but welded with a ring? Agree that less friction equals less wear

Matt
