Anyone riding the Armstrong CF 800 ? Does it float on its side with a small board ? I know the 1200 does .

I have ridden the CF800 quite a bit. It does not float on its side. I'm riding a Moses T35(108cm). The CF800 is excellent for carving with higher top end than the CF1200.
Another Wing to consider would be the HS1050. It does not float on its side. Its really a fun wing to ride, so much so,I hardly ever ride the CF1200 anymore. More stability than the 800 and about the same speed. Turns very well.

Does not float on side. Excellent for kitefoiling. Fast, smooth and nimble but can also go amazingly slow for its size. The HS wings are currently popular but the CF are very good, versatile foils.

No floating.

Cf800 better turning. Hs1050 better glide.

Cf800 because it is not as wide and has lower wingtips can be easier to crank a turn.

Hs1050 really glides through.the water and is very stable in roll.

For what it's worth, now that I'm winging float is no longer something I think is necessarily a universal *good* thing - as the stabilizers are like sharks in their attraction to devouring wing canopies. Just the difference between the HS1550 and the CF2400 of being able to easily sink the wing, and i imagine duck dive the foil better, really helps.
