Wow looks like the removed the pulleys. It’s barely mentioned in the video, I wonder how that changes the feel and handling of the 2021 version.
Seems like DT in general is going away from pulleys (Dice, Evo, and now Rebel)
So weird indeed, maybe its me but i needed to watch the video 2 times to find out they removed the pulleys, it's not even mentioned, only at 2:50 you can read it but I think it's the most important change!

Will be interesting to see how people like the rebel. I know that the dice and rebel did not sell well and you could get huge discounts on the 2020 models that were still available. So if you are more on a budget and don't need 2021 it is a nice time to snipe some deals (evo still expensive tho).

Exal, how exactly do you get that information? I often hear that the Rebel is still one of the best-selling kites out there and I indeed see them everywhere just like the dice, which also seems to be mega upcoming. Yes Evo remains expensive because it remains the current model and lasts for two years.
Also, i only find offers of 20-30% discount just like every year with every other kite?
Again sad to see that this kite has become €80 more expensive again comparison to last year, they have gone mad!
I really believe that it only sells worse because I now hardly know anyone who still buys new kites. ''Normal'' price = more sales = earn more / more advertising / more aftercare.

Im a big fan of removing the pulleys! Speed all of their kites up quite abit. The Rebel really needed it, was a tad slow.
Ooh such a debate now - do I go for Dice, Rebel, or a 10m Dice/12m Rebel?
A tad slow isn't exaggerating. I love the Rebel (only tested the 2019), but it is very very slow. By far the slowest "modern" kite I have ever tried. So anything they do to speed it up without taking away any of the brilliant stuff is definitely a good thing.

I ride 2020 rebels and to be honest they are fast enough. For me it’s an old school boosting kite. Any faster and it will be too twitchy for me. Not sure what this constant obsession is to make every kite faster every year.
I just tried the pullyless 2020 EVOs and they were way too fast to be honest. Any tiny mistake on huge multi rotation jumps and you will be punished. Also lacked glide unless it was in the sweet spot.

I just found good offer on 10m Rebel 2020. Is it smart to buy the 2021 bar instead of getting an old one which is still not that cheap?

Depends a bit on the size I guess. And personal preference. Fair enough not wanting a faster kite of course, but I don't think it is so strange looking for a faster Rebel. Even if I definitely see the point with you having so much "sheet in" power in them it might get a bit difficult to control if they become too fast as well. At least for the bigger sizes I don't think that is even close (based on the 2019 13m).

Definitely buy the new bar as it has better lines...
The old lines are awful

Looking at the new 2021 Trust bar, the new line material looks good, but I can only wonder why the Trust bar has a high Y for the front lines, this makes it a lot harder to self land your kite, and I know from experience that my kites fly better with a low why, the high Y seems to choke the kite. Also plastic cover for all three lines going through he bar would be nice to to reduce wear.
Any thoughts?

Just wondering if it would work perfect or not with a 2020 kite. What do you think?
