Got there in the end... the watch was linked to a random sensor that I had accepted thinking it was the Woo - but deleted it & added the Woo.

Do the Woo readings start automatically? Or is there a start button to press?

Thx again

:thumb: . I'm glad I hit that problem myself and put it in the guide! That would be a real head scratcher for a regular user to figure out :D

Nothing extra to do on the watch, just start the WOO app.

WOO itself has to be turned on and start session recording manually, same way you do it without a watch.

More on Fenix 5 (and a few other models). Right now they are in a grey area. Garmin SDK allows me to compile WOO app code for them, but it fails in simulator. It is either a bug in SDK, or it might mean that Garmin plans to (or already did) update Fenix 5 firmware to be compatible with BT. I don't have a physical Fenix 5 watch to test on. If someone would like to experiment and has Fenix 5, I can build a WOO app for you to test. Please PM me if you would like to do it. Make sure your watch is updated to the latest firmware though - connect it to Garmin Express on a computer and check for updates.
Any takers to test WOO app on Fenix 5 for me :?:

Hi BrollocksRSA, did you get any of my PMs? They are still sitting in my Outbox, not sure what that means here...

So am i correct in thinking that the phone can use gps to use all pro functions in app, whilst the watch is also running its app, Showing live jump data for example?
Sorry guys, tested it myself and found some problems/corrections. There are currently some limitations, plus changed sequence of actions:

- First of all, it seems that for now phone+watch only works on iOS at the moment, but I'm sure they will fix it for Android (phone app) as well.

Sequence of events to set it up:

- Start Analytics session on a phone - it will connect to WOO to sync the time and show status
- Turn off the screen on your phone - it will disconnect phone from WOO
- Start WOO app on the watch and ride
- At the end of the session exit WOO app on the watch - this will disconnect it from WOO
- Turn on the phone and finish the Analytics session
Hi aleks
Followed this procedure, when i lock screen on phone the watch starts getting notifications every second "started analytics session", by unlocking phone notifications stop, obviously watch is unable to connect to phone whilst its screen locked. Watch is version 11.10 (0c76ef4), app v 3.10.4 (390000142)

My watch is not connected to my iPhone ( I use Android and have iPhone only for testing ), so I'm guessing that is why I didn't get any notifications on the watch when testing with iPhone. One way to avoid it, is to disable watch notifications for Woo app (it is a setting somewhere in Connect app). I know it is not ideal, but give it a try for now. Meanwhile I'll talk to WOO and see what else can be done.

I've disabled smart notifications, it seems to me that when i lock the phone the woo is definitely still connected to the phone, the watch searches for the woo but fails to find it, the only way to connect woo is to switch it off and back on.

Are you using iPhone or Android? It doesn't work on Android yet, they still have to fix it. If it is on iPhone, I can forward it to Woo to figure out what is happening.

I can see by the build number that it is Android phone. You'll have to wait for the next release when they fix the app :(
