Correct. Hard part was sourcing material...I had to order from usa. If you do go that route...tip 1...cutting it requires a carbide blade, it chews metal teeth. Tip 2...same for drill, go slow and you'll probably wreck a few. Tip 3...sanding, wear a respirator, really toxic, messy work.

Just remember that if you go completely flat you are giving away anhedral/dyhedral which reduces stability. Consider chucking a TT fin on the stab like I have done.

Anhedral/dyhedral for hydrofoil is nonsense. For an airplane, angling the wing might elevate or lower the center of the lift force couple of meters or so, which is comparable to the fuselage height. For hydrofoil the center of the lift force is located 100 cm below the board, so that lowering or elevating it one cm makes no difference.

This analysis was for the main wing. For stabilizer it makes even less sense. Stabilizer role is dampening any pitch instability. Its impact on any other axis is zero. Therefore, for stabilizer only the two factors matter: it's area, and the distance from the center of the lift. To put it bluntly, those V shaped stabilizers are nothing more than an attempt to spice up perfectly working but boring design to make it look more sophisticated and expensive.

that's really really true, personally after riding a mono I'm not considering coming back anymore, and i think brands will start making mono soon..

If you are after a stab which is sized between normal and no stab, why don't you try gluing one or several plastic cards? Even if it doesn't work, you can always brag "I rode a credit card foil!"
