Do they still frontstall ?
Few guys at my local have them in their quiver .
I know how those guys ride and it boggles me how often their Orbit’s frontstall vs never seeing them stall and roll kites when they are on their other kites.
I always thought it looked like a nice kite for steady powered conditions , but crap for gusty and light conditions like we often have.
Would be good to see a stability test of 2020 vs 2021 with both back and frontstall behaviour tested.

I have just few session on 2021 9m orbit and I can say is noticeable improvements.
Kite stay in window very well, i think backstall and frontstall is past : ) new 2021 is much more friendly user.
I dont know is it only my feeling but I think it loop better. I feel bigger WAU effect with totaly constant pull and super fast recovery with soft landing : ))
+ easier to do big air, mega loop
on 2020 i feel u must do good POP with precisely timed to do huge air or mega loop with everything that goes with it
on 2021 is super ez and u can do mega loop, big air so so EASY
I find them a lot more forgiving than the 2020 when it comes to boosting in gusty conditions.

Hi Gunnar can you elaborate further on how more forgiving? What did you find on the 2020's when boosting in gusty conditions?
Cheers,
It is a lot more stable and has more depower. On the 2020 you had to keep an eye on the the Kite when it was over your head and had to fly it more actively on the way down after jumps, especially in gusty winds with a lot of lulls. The 2021 just keeps you up floating longer in those lulls and does not drop you if you are not actively flying it on landing.
Tried the 9m now in 25-38 gusty knots.
Ultra stable even if it a 12 o'clock with gusts. It is more direct and more progressiv than 2020. Lowend I cannot say. Highend is still amazing. Feels like it improved as well. Kiteloops really easy. Recovery is ultra fast.

Early days yet, but at some point I would have to decide which sizes I would go for - so interesting that you went with a 9m all the way up to 38 knots gust. What weight class are we talking about? If you don't mind me asking.
I have barely ever been overpowered with my 9m Enduro (not in Brazil and not in SA), but if I was to compare my Enduros with for example the Rebel I would probably go for an 8m Rebel as my smallest kite (I also got a 7m now, but never used it). I have never tried an 8m Rebel, but based on the bigger sizes I could see myself being able to kite in more or less the same wind as a 9m Enduro. Don't want to go for an 8m if the low end is weak though - as I am around 100kg that would mean I would never use it.
Quiver would be something like 14 - 11 - 8 with the Orbit 2021.
