Question for Axis Tray board owner

I saw a few videos of guys riding the Axis Tray 94cm foil board and couldn’t see any deck pad on top of the board...
Is the Tray board having some gripy deck material? Couldn’t find any info on Axis web site...

Yes, the boards have a white pad on them. I have it on my prone boards from them and it has great grip.

Count me as one of those that took it off. I don’t like white for pads, it is too bright and gets dirty really easy. I also have to deal with tar.

I also don’t like too grippy or soft pads on foil boards as I like to slide and wiggle my feet around. First time out on the axis tray my feet were getting tired I presume because I could move them around and keep the blood flow going.

But I did like a little cushion on my surfboards but also not too grippy for the same reasons.

Axis did not finish the area under the pads with a smooth finish coat so you could probably just ride it without the pad and save 200 grams of weight,

I use RS hexatraction which brings up another thing, I like to have some sort of visible contrast near my front and rear foot position as a reference point.

Interesting tidbit, when I first got the tray 94 moving from a dwarfcraft, I apparently was using the nose of the board out of the corner of my eye as a reference and would get too far back on the tray.

Mine got dirty very fast and was also too soft. It was starting to tear all around the edges.

Great board with the piece of carbon. However the deck pad is a let down. It gets damaged so easily. Plus it's not comfortable enough under the back foot heel.
I would like to strip it off and put a more comfortable and durable pad. Like on the slingshot Dwarfcraft. Any tips what material I should put and from where?

I really like the deck pad on my Tray 94. Grippy enough for control, but slick enough that I can shuffle my feet around. Reminds me of the Groove pad, only I think a little cushier. I've put about 20 hours on it so far, and it still looks like new.
