Going from 3cm to 5cm fins made a difference on my Bulldozer for the grip in choppy conditions, but trying the 5cm carbon (injection) fins from my Raptor didn't make a difference after that.

It’s only a tiny bit longer than my regular TT - I was planning to use in waves and keep the regular TT but it actually works really well in all conditions as well as carving really nicely in waves and it’s lovely for toeside riding. It has ended up replacing the normal TT.

You wont be able to feel ANY difference whatsoever, that is for sure.

If it was wave fins, there can be big difference, but carbon fins, if full carbon, could be worse, as they have to flex just right, stiff in the front and core, and only flex a bit, not too much either, at the tip like a windsurf sail.
Soft plastic fins are by far the worst, then G10 fins are much better, and a combination with carbon and glass to give the right flex, works the best, but more expensive.
And some can not feel the difference anyways

But for TT like fins (there are no pictures of the depth and shape though of the Nomad, but assume they are quite small compared to surfboard fins, or?), there is absolutely no difference.

Apart from, as said, a few grams lighter and more expensive.

But if you like the carbon look, and having the best, you will most likely love these, and feel they ride soooo much better :naughty:

Just like I use carbon bars for foiling, feels good, looks good, eventhough a normal bar would work just the same

I have G10s & full carbon fins on my mutants (including my Nomad custom - all Tarifa Fin Co) & although the rear fins are large, there is very little noticeable difference.

I have some Futures carbon/glass/hex cell foam fins & there is “some” twist, but not much. The carbon does look nice, but the carbon is more fragile than G10
