Hi, I found a great deal on an unused 2017 Liquid Force response bar. I used the bar a few times and actually like it. Well after one session if the day I launched and after about 200 meters my right fly line and float snapped off. Much to my surprise the screw that holds it on came out! I released and all was good. Luckily it wasn't 30 seconds prior or I would have likely had issues on a short beach with beach goers down wind.
Anyway, I lost the orange tab that keeps the bar in the wider position. Does anybody by chance have an old bar laying around of no use to them with this part? I've contacted LF and they don't have and suggested contacting dealers that may have old stock and pieces laying around.

If I were you I would look locally for someone that might be doing 3d printing and can draw up the part in cad. Might be the easiest way to get the replacement you need.

i wouldnt want to use that in high wind. make sure the new screw has a good bite. you could consider geting an older bar, (just the bar) and swap it out, but keep rest of the system. im sure someone here or local has old bars laying around.

Second Wind (now called Pure Stoke) in Hood River carried their stuff and might have something you can use. Pepe, the owner, is a great guy and very helpful.

That is actually the first thing I did. The clown quoted $400.

For that piece what a joke. That guy is a dick that is putting way too much value on his time. For that price you could buy a small printer and learn how to do it yourself with free software that is out there.

Im hoping to find someone with a used bar laying around that they dont want anymore. Or maybe one they have already cannibalized. I expected to deal with part replacement issues although didnt expect it when the bar had only been used a few times.

I have considered this. I have an old 2010 Naish bar (carbon) that I really like. This will be a last resort though.

Can’t help you with the part but thanks for the heads up on the loose screw. Will have to check my bar over. Cheers, Bob

Just be aware that the response bar had a manufacturing problem.
That the quick release would just go off if you were bending down.
I know they replaced a whole lot of them.
So just don't bend to far to grab your board etc.
Apart from that good bar.
