The Christope Tack Flip
VIDEO
I guess its all in how its done. That last one by Tack is by far the sickest in the clip despite the one done by Marc being way bigger. That first rotation has to be a roll and not a spin. Same with an S bend. Gotta get that inversion to be sick. A super layed out back roll is dope as f*** when really inverted and stomped.
I think thats it. My vote is for all relatively simple tricks, laid right out and stomped.
As for passes, again, prefer a simple slow 3 over a lot of techy stuff. KGB is also pretty simple and can be done with super steeze.
One killer mobe is enough for me in clip after that, I prefer to see real pros make easier stuff look super sick.

There's an old video called "kiteboarding compilation of the best moves in kiteboarding" set to prodigy's spitfire from about 10 years ago since taken down for copyright problems.
I think you're talking about this video.
VIDEO
The one with Prodigy music was taken down
Sweet! I can play some prodigy myself while I watch. good to see that video is still around

love it long white cloud. "new school" in 2003. All those big dangle passes they look great but wouldn't score points in the pro tour today.

its not the dangles im looking at - that crail grab glide and the kloop!
Ewan Jaspan is going to be in there when i find the clips, and marc j of course...
Kiteboarding needs a kick in the ass right now when it comes to style.
I tried watching some of that brazil freestyle comp, unwatchable and the chop... wtf!

Great topic.
Although the level of riding has undeniably soared in the last years I still think the most stylish trick was done many years ago by Andy Hurdman with his blind rewind.
And I'm not into wake style riding at all..

This is a great thread. Makes me want to dust off my baggy kite-pants and head to the beach. Hurdman was an animal in his prime (probably still is?). More, please.

Doesnt matter what era.. must have style.
There are riders of that era with style for miles and thete are riders today that have it too. The way they execute their tricks...
