Nice. Both Chrono and Hyperlink will be excellent kites I'm sure.
I sold my 13m Chrono V3 earlier this year - but I intend to buy a 13m Chrono V4 ready for next spring low winds

Nice session w 11 in 8-12 knots. I would need a bit mornwind with this kite to practice footswitch tacks at my clumsy level. Could also get going in less wind. It’s higher aspect, more elliptical in shape and flatter than V3. Feeling at the bar and harness is very familiar to V3. Is a nice evolutionary change that is more than the new cloth. The new cloth is also nice. The chrono V3 and 4 are both foil kites for people who love foreword flying foil kites where hyperlink is marketed as tube kite feeling. Chrono V4 is less lifty than Sonic3 but also more predictable. Easy body dragging in light winds with lulls. Nice double braid bridles throughout.

It sounds like a small tweak to design rather than a huge improvement.. especially compared to the V3 Ultralight.
Have you tried any other sizes of Chrono or just the 11m?

Medium tweak but definitely the same DNA. More like Speed 4->5 than 3–>4dlx (radical change) or Speed3->4lotus (cloth only).

Only 11 so far on the V4 and then for only 45 minutes till dark. I have V3 13 and have flown a friends V3 9 recently.

Surely the comparison everyone wants to hear about is vs Soul? I had a V2 Chrono and then a Soul, and felt the Soul was a big step forwards although ultimately decided to go back to LEIs but remain foil-curious...

8 Soul and 11 Chrono have almost the same center chord. Very different kites.

What Chrono is that V1/2/3 or 4? I've not seen those colours before?

What did you prefer about the Soul compared with the Chrono?

I've heard of other people doing the exact opposite... owning Chrono, buying a Soul, but then going straight back to Chrono.

From what I can gather the Soul beats all others at relaunch, but that the bar feel isn't as good/nice as the Chrono. The Soul has a much thicker profile than the Chrono.

From 13m Chrono V2 to FS Soul 12m, I found a slightly better bottom end, more stable in the air, easier launch and relaunch, more positive feel on the bar and felt more confident throwing it around, downlooping etc. In the end though I missed the more lively feel of LEIs and got rid of both. Didn’t really get on with combining a Soul / Chrono fir light wind and LEIs for higher wind as the larger foils are so slow to turning that it seemed to mess up my jump timings.
