Does anyone already know whether the Rebel now also enters a 2 year cycle like the Evo?

Okay, so yesterday I pulled the trigger for a set of Rebels 2021 in sizes 7m,9m & 11m and I was able to pick them up right away. The 9m will follow in a few weeks.
There is a strong wind coming up here in the Netherlands the coming days so if anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them. I can compare them with my set from 2018 & 2019, no 2020 experience unfortunately.
Earlier I was a bit negative about the new bags but I may take that back. They are a bit smaller yes, but the zipper opening is huge so they should go in a lot easier. Material feels great and the ventilation grid/gauze (correct English?) is a nice addition!

Gratz on new toys ;)
Please, let me know if turning speed is increased compared with 2019 ones. Bar pressure, recovery after loop - those too. Thanks!

Okay, I've now had a few sessions with my new '21 rebels and I think I can give a short but clear review, hopefully it will help someone (in my best English).

I was already very satisfied with my 2019's but what an nice upgrade this is! Especially the 11m is a mega difference, I loop it so easily now and it is way faster in climbing to catch me, this was really not the case with the 2019 version. The 9 is even more a looping machine and turns just as fast as my 8m but also climbs faster. You really notice the weight reduction in light wind. Yesterday I had a session in 20kts with the 11m and noticed that I had more power and even in that light wind circumstances the kite loops very well and get it above me on time, also with a more horizontal backroll kiteloop. As Marc_87 said, my mates were also amazed how I looped that 11m so fast.
Although the looping is really easier I think it's still stable enough for old school tricks, you still feel exactly where the kite is and it stays perfectly in place, so only with firm steering input its faster now.

I used the same 22m Clickbar and I didn't feel any difference in bar pressure and only a little bit in kite material. They have to be pumped to 7psi now instead of 6 on the 2019's. all in all, I didn't even expect these improvements and I am really happy with my choice. Those so-called flex struts and the improved arc and weight reduction which I thought was mostly marketing bullshit really have a lot of effect.

I walked out of the water with a big smile but unfortunately it disappeared quickly after packing. The new bags are beautiful and made of strong recycled material with handy straps and ventilation grid but the kites simply do not fit which that is really a worthless and incomprehensible choice from Duotone...

Had exactly the same problem with my OR Flite 14.5m Aluula. Impressive small bag but after first use there was no way the kite was going to easily go back in the bag. So I got an old Ozone Reo 10m bag for €peanuts, repaired the broken zip, and the 14.5 fits perfectly. :thumb:

I told them the same thing on their FB page, when they announced how "green" they are with those bags. People will end up buying a second bag for their kites and keeping those small ones in a closet, which is completely against their marketed purpose of being environment friendly . I hope someone from Duotone reads the forums and they will bring back big bags. In 2015 they made bags which were too small (not nearly as small as the 2021 ones) and all of my bags had to have the zipper replaced.

Almost charming that a brand like Duotone can make bags that are too small. Nothing like trying to roll/pack your kite perfectly in 7 degrees, rain and 30 knots. I get that bags do not look as stylish if they are slightly baggy, but surely almost every kiter would rather have a bag that is slightly too big rather than too small?

Small bags are a triumph of virtue signalling over function.

Ok, it might sound like a strange question:

Are the changes for 2021 Rebels made for all sizes?

Or did some sizes stay the same like the 2020 model?

Thank you all!
