Several of us are flying these puppies down her in Aotearoa. Awesome kites. Seem to fly faster and higher, with bigger wind range than ABCZ bridled kites. But wing tip fold is a problem we're grappling with. How are other VMG2 users fixing this issue?

Do the wingtips also fold when riding Downwind or only when gybing, waterstarting or light wind static flying?
They do like to be flown with constant line tension. I only get them to fold in suboptimal gybes or light winds. Cause is they want to roll in when the line tension on the lower tip is gone. You can try to adjust the pma's in the wingtip, but this will cost performance.
Best is to keep them high in low winds, avoid tight turns and practice the perfect race gybe so you won't loose line tension at any moment. When racing and making proper gybes they should never fold in.
Thanks Evan, yes they do fold when kiting downwind- not always, but enough to notice- this varies from kite to kite. There is a second connection point and we have tried with some success connecting to this second connection point in the last 1/4 of the wing tip. One of us has had the time and inclination to check the BS3 and BM5 line lengths and found they had shrunk significantly. He's testing that at the moment.
What are pma's?
There are Flysurfer videos about PMAs (profile momentum adjuster) and adjusting those.. Manual has about PMAs too and for example from Sonic3 page reads..
The kite’s flight characteristics can be further influenced by the PMAs. The stability, turning, asymmetries can all be changed quickly and efficiently to get your kite back to flying as it should. The PMAs are sewn to five ribs on the B level on each the left and right wing tips. Go through the air intakes to reach the small knot ladders on the top and bottom sail of the kite. We recommend the help of a FLYSURFER sales partner to make these trim adjustments. (experts only)
Can you self land the kite by backstalling? The VMG2 manual says you can't, because it can damage the kite. I asked flysurfer directly, and they confirmed you can't do it. However, a rider who has one said he did it without issue.
I often need to self land, so would be a non-starter for me if you can't self land the kite.
Use those bridle catching PVC hooks on another topic @ KF? I personally doubt 'em for other series FS kites but maybe for self-landing VMG2 they could be perfect?
