Fish collisions

I have hit mullet, rays, baby stripers, plastic bagfish. Rays and bags knocked me off.
Luckily did not hit the 8 foot-ish ray swimming under me and jumping nearby in the bahamas a couple years ago.

All foilers on Lake Winnipeg have multiple Carp strikes every session during spawning season. Some strikes are glancing blows while others stop you dead and sends the rider over the bars.

Carp are an armored prehistoric looking invasive species that nothing wants to eat. Other animals will only eat the eyeballs and assholes.

It is a goal of mine to hit and kill a fish whilst foiling and then carry it back to the land and feed my family with it.

I have hit a few fish, but sadly none that I could then capture and eat.

I've hit some Carps on my local spot.. some light blows to full stops.. never saw a dead carps afterwards...(we don't eat carps in the Netherlands)
There is commercial fishing on my local spot.. I 've got the idea that I'm not really appriciated by the local commercial carp fish operator and his clients..

The famous photo from years back ... would be great to bring back a salmon for dinner. Though kitefoiling the rivermouth while they are waiting to spawn would be frowned on massively, as you'd probably kill a whole bunch inadvertently.

I saw a small ray today and a couple of times it felt like I had hit weed or something but then I noticed in the harbour channel that crossing current directions I could feel a bit of a shudder through the board.
