Who's the clown at North/Duotone over the past few years who has been responsible for the typography on their kites? An intern?! The owner's son?! I know it's trivial but it's like some bitter student drop out who never learned the fundamental principles of typography. I bet Ralf is well pissed off his creations have been vandalised with third rate type design.
Nice first post, why not delete your account and spare us your pathetic behavior..

After reading his post, it was the first time I checked someone account and I had the same feeling as you, “what a crap first post”.

Just a heads up, there are a few forum users here that currently have multiple account names. And it may be that one in particular known for his dislike of Old North/Duotone, drunk posted this under a newly created alias. Not positive in this, but it does fit.

Who's the clown...
Well, your comment at least answered who the clown in this forum is.

I wonder about his mental health.
As long as I can read the kite size I am don’t really care about the font.
I did like the 2018 graphics. The 2019 picture graphic looked bad. 2020 was ok I didn’t like the white leading edge on the grey.
I really liked the blue and red from 2020.
Hopefully I will get me evo sls kites in the near future.

Interesting. I have exactly the same opinion! 2018 graphics were the best ever for me.

Double interesting - yeah the 2018's were cool but I like the 2017's in BLUE - classic look with the panels 2 tone blue offset by the bright yellow logo swoosh - never understood why they didn't have the name visible from underneath, like as you ride and look UP at the canopy? Seems like an obvious marketing op.
Technically, the coolest colors were back in the early, early duotone year of 2012 when the Company formerly known as North produced the best graphics in a decade, after which they fell mightily off that peak into the darkness of 2015, 2016 before coming back to the light in 2017 / 2018. The PINK in the 2021 is an interesting choice? Have high hopes for the 2022's to be another PEAK year after all it will be EXACTLY 10 years since the 2012's so should be right on time...

Neither drunk nor fake account I'm afraid. I did use the word 'trivial'. Not sure where the anger comes from for you guys. If you don't care what a kite looks like then you won't understand or appreciate the nuances of type design and that's more than fine. Never flown anything except a Vegas in 17 years so saying I have an issue with them is a bit of a stretch.

Get your point...but maybe not the right statement to start your first post with. Designs and art are always perceived differently. With any design you will have haters and lovers. And even taste will change...looking at my cloths/hair cut of 10/15 years back make me laugh now
I think there is a trend to go minimal, monotone colours with a hint/dash of another colour. Fonts are personal too...I like them especially as the type is part of the brandname and therefore design. However never understood the black blurrr on the 1st duotone designs though...but they removed that.

Anyone knows difference between 2020 and 2021 Jaime? I see videos that they have added carbon strips between ‘19 and ‘20 but it’s not clear what they changed this year.
