The all-new Cabrinha 01 collection has arrived and it's ready and raring to get you on the water this year. With a complete new range of Kites, Twin Tips and Wings, there's something for everyone.
Over the last year, surf and wind sports have taken on a more prominent role in all of our lives. What was already a healthy obsession has evolved into a rock solid collaboration between our state of mind and our athletic desire. A mutually beneficial relationship. Equal partners. One strictly tied to the other, because regardless of whatever is happening on land, our time in the water is sacred. It belongs only to us, it’s ours to choose how we want to spend it, and the gear that we select has never been more important.
This season we have expanded your choices and have sharpened your tools. We bring you more ways to tap into the surf and wind sports independently, or combined into the many new hybrid scenarios that are now within your reach.
Ahhhhhhhhhh! I was hoping for an expanded AV8 lineup. Looks like they discontinued their racing / airstyle kite completely. Total buzz kill. Guess it's time to switch brands...again.

The switchblade & FX are their big air / airstyle kites

I own a quiver of Switchblades and a quiver of AV8's and have flown a friend's FX. I much prefer the AV8 for hang-time / airstyle twin-tip riding. You just can't compare the hang-time of the Switchblade or FX to the AV8.
Since 2005 Cab has had a hang-time racing bow-style kite in their lineup (Crossbow, Velocity, Apollo, AV8). I'm just disappointed they gave up on this style kite.
No news on the 01 Drifter? Maybe nothing changed? If so, the Drifter is similar in 2019, 2020 and now 2021 (01) if I remember correct?
I was wondering the same. Just a new colour way? Might stick to my 2020's for another year so.
I'd be interested to try the new contra single strut but they seem to be making a lot of hype about a single strut. Pretty much every other brand has one in the line up

I couldn't wait for cabrinha to come with a one strut kite, so I jumped on a pair of Naish Boxers (8m2 and 11m2) to accomplis my Cabrinha Drifters (4.5, 5.5 and 7m2). One strut kites seems nice for foiling (and a bit if light wind with surf board). I guess 3 strut wave kites could be as fine for foiling, but the one strut kites may stay in the air a little longer - even though I still get nervous when I do light wind foiling..

CrazyFly publishes the weight of their kite models by size. It would be nice if Cabrinha (and all kite brands) published the same statistics.

Sure, there are some nice pictures. But no details (except for sizes).
I saw in the video that the drifter still got the 1 pulley. That is fine, I guess.
