So what are the odds that you'll see an Epic infinity AND a crazy fly infinity on the same beach on the same moment?
I really don't see the point of making such a fuzz about it.

so you've obviously flown both...right?!

Now i havent. But i m flying the Infinity since the beggining. It took us more than 7 years to have a kite that flies so nice and you can ask anybody that test it or owns it.

But i suppose using a name of a kite that is already established and successed will give them some extra sales ;)
regardless of how much you like the Epic Infinity, it's ridiculous to say a competitor's kite is not even close in performance to it if you've never tried it. i get it that you have a problem with the naming of it, but you lose credibility when you make such obviously unsubstantiated claims. that's all.
Well said, there are many examples, CF used to have a slash kite around 10 years ago, and naish is using the same name now... understand nikalaitzian has to do whatever it takes to show some loyalty even if that means losing credibility

What's the big deal.
Airush and Ocean Rodeo have had a Razor kite in there line up for a while.
But no one is whining about it.
Suck it up it's not going to affect your sales.
Unless you put a patient on the name any brand can use it.

And Ozone had an issue with the "sub zero" kite vs the origional name "blizzard".

Just like in the link, it happens all the time. The company with the most lawyers sitting around with nothing to do usually wins.

It doesn't actually affect kite performance.

I suspect Epic kites is a forum sponsor so doesn't really want a topic promoting a rival brand that is piggybacking off prior marketing effort in a particular sector (light wind) to be getting undue promotion. I can see his point.

I'm just waiting to see if there is going to be a Crazyfly Screamer announced on the 1st April this year - or possibly an Epic Hyper

Soooo, anybody tried the Infinity yet? (the CF one :P ) I wonder if a 9m will be good enough on a hydrofoil in 10 knots...
