We all should see this as a warning that distance is your friend. We, the riders, need to be aware of the distance we can travel and make sure we have enough space downwind.

Big ego with complacency is when kiting puts people in their place. Hope it didn’t result in a trip to the er. Windsurfers also need to carry hook knives.

I wonder if there was any possibility to avoid this crash in the last seconds. I think the kite surfer should have steered to the left or right. The windsurfer was not to blame because he was just doing his thing and didn't see it coming.
