Just saw the new ION Spectre Bar, and was wondering if anyone of you already uses it?
Wondering if it is very comfortable?
Any feedback welcome.
Thanks!

Looks a lot like the Mystic stealth bar, but with a more complicated lever system.

Mimicry is the best form of flattery. Mystic must feel pretty proud of the Stealth bar now.
The names, function, construction, and marketing images are eerily similar.

Ion's lever is easier to open vs the Stealth, even with gloves on.

I think Ion's hook is made of 7075 aluminum. It's sourced from the mtn bike industry.
The bar portion is made of forged carbon.

"Forged Carbon" is a fancy name for a SMC.

Different construction. NP launched the alu spreader bar in 2013. The hook is bolted to the spreader bar (also forged alu) and in 2018 was upgraded with the lightweight EVA pad.
The new ION alu hook seems to be clamped to the same (I guess SS) plate, which is bolted to the plastic/carbon spreader bar plate. As long as the hook doesn't deform/break (and it shouldn't), they've solved the issue. And the hook looks nice, well rounded.
The 'C30' moulded carbon must be the same or similar thing they make their foil wings from.

Only that ION launched their original C-Bar in 2018 well before Mystic brought the Stealth bar to the market

Hey Toby,
I can't comment directly on the ION Spectre bar, but I own both the Mystic Stealth bar and the ION C-Bar 3.0, and I much prefer the C-Bar 3.0 for a couple reasons:
1. ION's tension lever system seems better than Mystic's. I can get my ION spreader bar much tighter than the Mystic latch system.
2. I might be the odd one out on this comment, but I don't like the Mystic "Stealth Wings" which ION re-branded as "Integrated Spectre Flaps." They don't really work as advertised and just seem to get in the way. So for the same reason, I don't think I'd like the ION "Integrated Spectre Flaps" and will probably stick with the C-Bar 3.0.

Leewavesurfer,
I believe Sun was referring to the "Integrated Spectre Flaps" which is the main difference between ION's new Spectre bar and their C-Bar. Mystic was before ION to market with this idea; they call them "Stealth Wings."
