Ride Engine Carbon V6 vs. Mystic Stealth

Hey Vanni,

I just got the Mystic STEALTH after a detailed search and trying many options. It's all about fit - try them on and see what you think - for me the fit of the Stealth was just right. The liner is thin and grabby which is great even tho it's a bit of a pain to latch up - once it's adjusted and you get the clip past 1/2 way the rest is easy.

These harnesses have amazing support - don't think you will have any concerns with either, try 'em both on and your body will know.

Both are way better than your old harness = just a guess.

Yeah fit is key. Even if you find someone that have tried them both it wouldn't necessarily mean you would have the same experience.

I got the Mystic Majestic X (with a Stealth Bar). Before that I had the "normal" Majestic for some years. Can only say that the fit is very very similar between the old and the new. So if you got previous experience with similar harnesses from Mystic it would probably fit you in a similar way. For me the Majestic series fits me better than any other harnesses I have tried. And I used to have issues finding a harness that would fit me. That is not to say it would be true for everyone. I have come across people saying the same about RE - especially in the early days of hard-shell.

Totally agree on try before you buy...but cant find a shop that has them, and will have to order both, even in different sizes, and then return items...

Just echoing what is being said: try before you buy.
For me the mystic ones made some bad pressure points on my back while the ride engine fit is great.
So it was no question which one to get after a fitting session.

Agree with trying on, I tried on both, and while I like the strap system on the Ride Engine better. The Mystic Stealth was the choice based on fit, and after about 6 months of riding on it, it's one of the best pieces of gear I've bought kiting wise. Feels like having nothing on, light, and the surf rope works really well, no regrets. But again, try both of them on. The Ride definitely felt a bit bulkier, but a bit more in support as well.

+1 for the Mystic Stealth. It is an amazing piece of tech. Best harness I have used in my 21 years of kiting. I have had several versions of Ride Engine including a custom and Mystic harnesses. The custom Ride Engine was my second most favorite after the Stealth.

Same for me for the Mystic Majestic X (never tried the Stealth harness).
