Not really been following this thread but from a metallurgical and design point of view I would have thought it possible to choose a design and material which operated at stress levels below the materials fatigue limits. That is to say it should not crack no matter how many load cycles you put it through. Of course not all alloys have fatigue limits and surface finishes or notches can make a lot of difference. It is not a windy day

Yep, looks like they addressed the fatigue concerns. Frankly, I would have expected that testing to occur by default these days for these mass-produced products. Surprised that they implied it was new.
Only other aspect to consider is QC. Historically Mystic has done well here, hope the North acquisition has not hurt that aspect.
At least the new bars should be good now, although I agree that not issuing a notice for update on old harnesses is lame.

Good news and rightly so, its the least they can do.
Too bad you never get an answer from Mystic but they seem to read it tho.

Ridiculously late, but happy that they finally came to the right conclusion.
Just emailed the shop I bought mine at. Will be interesting to see how well they are informed. Hopefully it will all go smoothly.

I am also curious, let us know! Here in Holland one of the largest kiteshops (
www.kitemana.nl ) has already sent an email to all customers who bought it there and invited us so they can change it for you
