I have worn a leopard print speedo over my wetsuit while wingfoiling. Absolutely no functionality, just for style... I felt naked not wearing a harness, and had to compensate somehow...

Leopard print has been saving lives since the caveman first wrote the script to "Caveman (1981)"

The hate for shorts over wetsuits seems like some people are bothered by not being able to see riders' asses and cocks ..😄😄🌈🌈🌈

I feel safer wearing shorts over wetsuit than wearing a helmet

Everyone knows shorts provide additional weight when wet, therefore you can edge slightly harder and jump higher... FACT.

Shorts = old school cool, especially if your rocking a 10ft strapped surfboard and doing inverted backrolls at 8m.

Wow, didn't realize there were so many opinions on this one. Kind of figured it was because we spend most of our time on top of the water rather than in and a bit of a fashion thing.

The thought that some other kiters would be judging me as a kook cause I wear boardies over my wetty actually never crossed my mind! :o I've never had any bad vibes from other kiters in my area, all the ones I meet end up being really cool :D

I've worn my boardies since day one, think I'll just keep wearing them  .

Kiteboarding is the coolest sport in the world. Show your style, show your fashion. Not wearing boardshorts dimishes our Cool factor. Banana hammocks, and potatoe sacks definitely NOT COOL. My personal tips for boardshort designs and graphics:
Go for:
1. Anything with palm trees especially black silhouette against some kind of orange yellow sunset
2. Hibiscus flowers, chicks love the little femine touch
3. Lightning
4. Flames, any color
Avoid:
1. solid colours, walmart style
2. Heavy wet retaining material, go for light 4 way stretch quick dry
