I guess there is no way to go back and change a posted session from big air to freeride? That one session is still stuck as big air...

I'm really enjoying the jump distance feature, with the Woo syncing with the GPS data!

And the Jump maps, with take off points and jump length trails!

PM me your WOO email and session date - I'll try to change it manually :thumb:

Will/does the GPS data freeride session feature and sync with woo device feature come to the garmin watch app? Asking for a couple of friends.

'' We’ve been testing this a lot and the WOO + Watch combo is a match made in heaven! Garmin and Android watch users, we are working on similar functionality on these platforms as well, but this will take us considerable time, since these integrations aren’t trivial. Apple Watch is the way to go if you're looking to get the best WOO experience today. ''

WOO app doesn't do it. The track is also in Fitness app on the iPhone - not sure if Fitness app can export it. If not, then there must be some other apps in App Store that export GPS from Health data. Perhaps I can even write one myself one day :D

Working on Garmin integration right at this moment. It might look trivial, but there is a lot of work to be done. Hopefully it will be ready soon!

One feature that is missing is the ability to combine multiple sets of big air data with a single freeride session that has pauses in it. If you upload just multiple big air session without free ride data this is easy to do as it prompts you for it so I am surprised this isn't working for freeride data integration.

If I go to the beach kiteboarding for half a day and take an hour break in between a few sessions, I can pause the freeride data on the woo watch app, but if I turn off my woo sensor on my board (and stop recording) to conserve battery, the next big air session won't integrate into that freeride session. This forces me to end the freeride session (instead of pausing it), and start from scratch every time if i want the two data sets synced up.

Another feature that is missing, say I forget to end my session after kiteboarding on my woo apple watch, jump in my car and drive back to my place. On the drive back I remember my apple watch is still recording, but now my max speed might be 90km/hr. In the Waterspeed app if I made this mistake I could go back and edit the track to delete that part so I don't save erroneous data so having this kind of capability for woo would be nice.

A down the road feature that would also be nice is a statistics function that lets you view how many hours and km's you have recorded for each kite as well as each board type. All time, per year, etc.

I recently bought an Apple watch just so I could track my freeride kiteboarding sessions. I was curious to know what distance I traveled, what my average and top speed were, gps log maps, and how many calories I burned in a given session. I also thought it would be nice to start accumulating a log of all my sessions to get an idea how many hours I spend on the water per year and how many successful sessions I have per trip.

Through my research these seemed to be the most popular apps out there. I found very little reviews and no comparative reviews so this is my attempt to remedy that. The apps I tried out and compared in order of most favorite to least are as follows.

1. Waterspeed
2. Zef
3. Strava
4. Sessions
5. Woo (sorta)

See full comparative review (with pics) on my site here: http://www.gestaltreality.com/2020/09/2 ... -freeride/

If you have any feedback or questions please let me know. I'm curious what other Apple watch users have tried and liked.
The WOO app for Apple Watch has significantly matured since the review. In fact, it was completelly redesigned and re-written. Now it is fully functional for everyone - no WOO necessary. You can upload and share your sessions in WOO app - all for free. And it is the only app dedicated to kitesurfing. Perhaps it is time for another review :D !

Sure, I can do an edit-update.

I finally got a chance to try the new Apple Watch app and it's great, but when I saved the session to the Woo app on my phone it saved as a Freeride session rather than Big Air. Is there a way to switch the session to Big Air? I can't seem to find a way to do that.
