The Cabrinha mushroom is proven and simple but no swivel unless it's above the bar.
Above the bar swivels usually require manual untwisting if reachable and they're big and aren't they difficult to source now?
To be fair, loop it and thats it.

Mushroom is good but not easy to reset. Modern systems are easy. Wichard is super easy and that why I like it.

Hey,

so I have studied all 93 pages in the high hope there is just "anything" like a collection of all the ideas.
It seems the only thing floating around is the BRS KISS and various Selfbuilds of that, or the Wichard Snap Buckle with some attemps to raise the pull force as it opens quite easily, and the issue of pulling vs pushing.

Thats it.

No magic solution or fairy dusk... mhhhh!

So, let me share smth that wasnt mentioned until now!
https://philipbchase.com/harness-and-qr-upgrades/

It uses a Wichard Trigger Shackle, aswell as two Fids (Cones): So when you pull on either end of the lanyard and grab one cone, the other cone will be forced into the trigger mechanism.
Tadaaaaaa: Wichard mounted to the Spreader Bar but with a Push Release instead of a Pull Release!

What do you think about it?

To me thats the best solution by theorie yet, because you have the Push Feature and the benefit of only 1 Wichard at your harness so you only need cheap rings on the bars. Additionaly, because we are talking about a Wichard, you have high breaking loads compared to many other commercial solutions or like with a Ball Release System.

Greets
Looks neat for land boarding.

But, for us, we might catch the ball with something when crashing.

I would looove to see skorc99 solution more.

D.

If you use a below the bar swivel and a micro leash attached above the swivel then it works.

I have made a modification to one of my bars by cutting off the hook and replacing it with a rope. I notice that some use a ring that slides on the rope, rather than having the chicken loop slide directly on the loop, which I suppose could lead to the plastic coating on the chicken loop being worn through. Does anyone have a good tip where to get such a ring?

Here’s my morning build. Assembled from dream parts.
I just found your post. That looks like my dream bar also. Can you help me figure out the build? Foiling only of course. Kiteboarding.com parts? Thanks.

What do you use to connect the CL/rope loop to the rope slider on your harness? I see that Jeff Howard uses a simple push-away type release but I think resetting that in some of the water that I foil in would be difficult.

My rope slider has a steel ring on it. I connect the rope QR to that ring. I had couple of funny moments reconnecting in water, it can be challenging.

Yes, I was wondering the about the exact same thing.
I am considering to bring an emergency easy connector setup (e.g. carabiner) so I can reset the safety without also needing to put it on the ring/rope at the same time.
Anyone any thoughts about that?
