This has to be the worst year ever for kitesurfing in the UK, really light winds and very often weak easterly winds.Normally we get really good Autumn winds rolling in off the Atlantic in September.... but not this year! This is due to the jet stream moving far south this summer. How has the summer wind been in France, Holland, Belgium, Germany etc ?

Same in Norway (at least the Oslo area). Utter rubbish. I'm sure I have missed some days, but I would argue two good days on water this year so far. Been wind for more than two days of course, but really good wind I can only remember two.

Interesting, that would make sense as we get the same Atlantic lows rolling in over the UK that then move on to Norway, Holland & Denmark. Fingers crossed the Jet Stream shifts north soon.

I’m on the South coast, been a lot northerly winds which is useless for my local spots.
Yesterday was good though. Can barely walk today.

July and most of August around the great lakes and southern Ontario had the worst wind I have seen for at least the past 8 years. Maybe 7 or 8 twintip days total with sustained winds >15knots over those two months. Sept has been decent though and hopefully October will be too! Yesterday's SW at Cherry Beach was sweet. I counted 25 kites in the air.

Here in Holland we've got this year a lot and i mean a lot of North -Northwest wind. Normally the dominant direction is South-Southwest, but not this year. climate change?

UK South Coast. Crap wind this year, and a lot of N/NE which is the wrong direction here.
