It will be quite interesting to see how SLS might change the Rebel.

A slightly more "agile" Rebel would be quite amazing for us heavy riders without pro skills.
I'm thinking the same. I was already on the fence whether I replace my 8m with a 2021 Rebel. They actually made it decent to turn and much more reliable on the catch. Huge path compared to the Orbit's pivot though, but I don't loop the 8m much anyway.

2020 Orbit deals:
Buy the 2020 and then buy a 2021 bridle. Poof! You have a 2021 Orbit with more dacron and a different colour scheme.
Have you tried this yourself?
I want to hand down my old kites to a friend. But i don't want him to have to learn on a 12qm 2020 Orbit.
Especially since it really tends to fall out of the sky in lighter winds if it's not flown actively. The bridle won't fix the weight, but hopefully the tendency to frontstall so easy.
Yes, I'm currently riding my 2020 9m with a 2021 bridle.

Orbits suck in light winds. Don't have someone learn on an Orbit.

Been thinking the same. But I guess I will stick to the dice route. Orbit is a great looper, but I did not fall in love with it.

Or maybe try another hack ;)

Shorten the B2 bridle (lower V, outer segment) by 1-1,5cm. An overhand knot will shorten the line about 1cm, fig.8 - 1,5cm. That's for the 9-10m Orbit 2020.
For the 12m shorten by 1,5-2cm.

To undo the knot easier if you don't like the mod - insert in the knot two short pieces of sewing thread and then pull them apart to loosen the knot.

And pls let us know if this mod worked out well for you.

I'll try getting my hands on the 2022 bridle. Seems like they did some minor tuning as well and as far as i know the kite shape didn't change.
Dno if they're already selling it tho, gonna contact the distributor.

Edit: nvm they made the LE smaller in diameter, what would you guys reckon? Still 2021 or take new 2022 bridles?

It's probably not that different, but I haven't tried a '22.

When are the the 2022 orbits likely to drop in the UK? Have one on pre order but waiting for it to arrive.

@Blackened
Got my 10m 2021 two days ago and the weather had perfect timing for yesterday! 25 knots average, some squalls and gusts into the higher 30's. With my 95 kg I could hold it "okay" on the beach when no squall was hitting and in the water everything was fine. On the limit, but fine and in control.

The Orbit is a bit rough sometimes compared to the edge or the Crazyfly Hyper I tried yesterday too. Shows the performance though and gbr kite feels alive!
Didn't have the balls and trust to really boost yet but had one of the best sessions ever and 8.1m on the woo aren't "nothing" hehe.

Arms weren't weakened from the bar pressure at all, steering is super easy, the kite wants you to try new stuff, loop it, do preload pops, spontaneously take a little wave as a kicker and I even did a little Raley when the wind dropped towards the low 20's.

Thanks for answering all of my questions. It was a great decision to get this 10m!
Simply loving it already and I feel this kite will make me progress really well with lots of fun :)

Awesome, glad you like it and I could be of help. You're right: the kite always wants to fly around and loves being overpowered. Wait until you start looping it and get to see where it really shines. Start small ;)

What do you mean rough compared to the Hyper and Edge? Do you mean harder to fly?
