I don't use the latest Ozone bungeed trim rope, just the previous magnet system. Works perfectly, just have to occasionally replace either the cleat sleeve or the trim handle when magnets fail. I splice my trim ropes from 5mm dyneema.

I dont normally trim a kite a whole lot during a kite session these days and have never noticed any issues with the trimming system of the latest Ozone v4 bar, so I took note while using the depower strap on my last session kite foiling on the weekend and did not experience any issues with the system. Seemed pretty easy to power and depower the adjustment strap.

Hi richieski, that's exactly what I'm looking for! Thank you so much for sharing this info. I think you are very handy with this stuff. It took you only 30 minutes in making this. Would you be so kind to "walk me through the steps" in that process of 30 min, including the used material? I'm not that handy.... Thank you in advance :thumb:

I will try to explain with detail and pics when i get some time later but basically this is a dog collar.
I used some strong cotton, needle and a thimble and occasionally some pliers to pull the needle through.

I didn't find an issue until i went out on the new CatV3 10m in 30 kn. With foiling you never have that front line tension you get on the TT.
I was fully lit with no chance of triming even bearing off downwind. I must admit it has been a while being that loaded.

So as you can see in the 1st pic. I hand stitched along the side I coloured in black.
I did 1 side 1st away from the rope.
Stitch roughly 10mm .
Once you have done a side put it over the rope and stitch the other side.
Then to reinforce it all I wrapped the webbing around a couple of times as in 2nd pic.
I used enough to be able to slide the ball over just
To make this easier I stiched the end of webbing to the rope just enough to hold it in place then I could wrap it around easier.
The once it's wrapped around I stiched it so it does not come undone.
All you have to do is thread through the webbing and the rope on the middle.
Just keep stitching until it all hold. Doesn't have to be tidy as you won't see it.
Sorry for the crap explanation

Btw tested it today... Tarifa winds and works a treat.

If your making up your own trim lines, this is a simple option (with no additional parts)
It’s just a bowline with the tail buried (+ lock stitch) in the loop.
