That's why there is a polyprop black fabric for on it. No, just a plain ripstop.
Wet hands are the worst feeling ever for me. Fine for 5mins, but not for hours.

I don't have this problem as I'm not Caucasian, but if I had to wear gloves I would wear a very thin bmx glove like Fist brand. They are the most comfortable gloves I've ever worn and even when biking in rain they don't bother me.

Why don't you consider another out of the box and off the shelf option?
And you can also DIY - fiberglass, carbon, Innegra..
