Back in the days when I was deep into snowboarding on slalom board - for a few seasons "the next big thing" were stiffening plates and carbon rods added under or in between bindings to change the board's flex...

Guess that the appearance of this handle proves 2 points:
1)everything in this world is going in circles
2)one industry's dead horse - is another industry's "game changer" (at least till next season's gear is announced)

Really makes a difference in the shape.
Never assumed it's visible that much.

Any tried ?

Also wondering if it's no problem to do a flip trick...the one shows was a spin.

I'm really curious if the high rocker mode would have the dampening effect on hard landings a conventional high rocker board has?!
I guess it depends on the 'original' rocker of that board, or to put it differently - if the handle is flattening a high rocker board or bending a low rocker board.

Anyone tested it already?

According to the video at AWS, the high rocker mode is the normal board and the flat mode is the effect of the handle flattening it.

Would love to try it out but it seems like one of those things where you'd need either the perfect session of wind and water in a test or you'd need to have it for a few months to see how it works for you.

I heard it is there to flatten the rocker and that it works. So you can get a flatter board while out on the water and the wind gets less.

I was able to try it extensively on a Carved Imperator 7 today.

All I can say I thought this was another "game changer" marketing gimmick. I admit I was wrong. It does what it says and was a noticeable difference when engaged. I think it's a worthwhile option.

I didn't try this new handle but I did compare my 2017 North Jaime with and without any handle and I can say that the boars is quite a lot softer overall without the handle!
I like it better with the handle since my second board is a Naish Monarch and I'm used to a stiffer board.

But since the difference between any handle and no handle is definitely there, an adjustable handle can absolutely have some impact too.

BTW, Best had something similar multiple years ago. Just never really made it a full on production thing.
I have the feeling eleveight took the concept, approached core and they pushed it into a real product.

Remember most Devs moved from Best to Eleveight...so no real surprise here
