Maybe 3,4 6, 9?

I’ve got a 3 and 5 ufo and sold my 7 since it didn’t give me that much more low end and has a lot of pull.

I have a 4m ghost and between that and my 5m ufo that is my most used sizes. 5m to 3m is a big stretch.

I’ve read the v2 won’t show up until next year.

Interested to know what size front foil wing you are using since you have been able to ditch your 7m?
My kite quiver is similar except that I recently added the 9m. However it only gives me a little more low end than my 7, is pretty grunty at my 65 kilos and is the only size of UFO that I’ve had stuck in the drink, trailing edge down with canopy flooded and unable to relaunch. Admittedly the wind was super light that day.
I’m using the Slingshot Phantasm 633.

Yup, it depends on where people ride. In 29 days of July I rode 5m every single day except:
- one day on 7m UFO because wind was light
- 3 days on 4m SST wishing for 4m UFO (one of those afternoons overpowered on 4m)

Because it was in Gorge. Coming back home I ride mostly the 7m UFO

93 kilos, 730 sq.cm wing, 425 stabilizer for regular riding. 1200 sq.cm wing, 425 stabilizer for lightwind.

No whitecaps -> 7m is what I figured for myself

The 9m UFO I have will probably stay like new forever because I don’t get to use it even back home. It’s like an indulgence for wind gods - owning a 9m so I don’t have to ride it

Thank you for the answers.
I think I will go 3,4,6 and 9.
I'm 85 kg and with my Moses 633/483, 679/425 and a w800/s400, that is arriving this week, hope I will cover 8-30+ knots with enough gap between sizes.

Oh man, the 800/425 combination will be golden - you’re going to feel like 679 is slippery and unstable compared to that. One thing I can try to upsell you on is the 310 sq.cm stabilizer for 633 or 679 - it’ll be quite an improvement from the 483.

and/or add the 1200 sq.cm wing (bottom one on the picture) for your kite fuselage and you won’t need bulky and heavy surf fuselage- just switch the wing.

Those are pretty affordable and you’ll end up with a slim quiver

Oh yes, that 1200 RDB looks nice.
Unfortunatelly I live in Argentina and it is difficult to us to buy international.

In reasonably powered conditions does the UFO sit on a tether ok?

Yes, I’d say perfectly well. I’ve tether launched and landed my 5, 7 numerous times without issue.

Yes they do , in not so steady winds the best way is on their back like we used to do our C kites back in 2000 , best way for the UFO for me .

1050 wing, 75kg, and the 7m gave me only small advantage over the 5m and when used in that range it is very slow. If the wind picks up it speeds up but it is a grunty kite and still slower than the 5m.

I’m a kite flyer and often use the speed of the kite to generate power. Versus some who tend to keep the kite more still and rely on its size.

Since the 7m was gathering dust, I found a more deserving home for it.
