Ever seen a hydrofoiler doing tricks big air...it looks very clumpie! It's a big thing to carry around mid air and def limits your ability to do rotations or other tricks. .... I think you get bored quite soon.
So good to see Kevin Langaree back vloging now that he is in SA. His workout video is truly intimidating. And this video of his second day is so well done. The view from the beach gives a much better feel for the extremity of this event, and reminds me of watching it in 2019 and 2020 right at the water edge. The comraderie of the competitors is great to see, many of them clearly good friends, as earlier videos of Kevin riding with Nick and others shows. I just love this sport and these guys, and gals, who promote it so well are amazing. Kudos all. Finally, I see the Reedin gear is now available from the Kite Beach shop that used to sell Best gear and is now known as Board and Kite Africa - https://boardandkiteafrica.com/. My favorite shop in Cape Town.
Maybe he should have done a bit more of that in his heat?
He went way beyond that in his heats.

Uh no, he did more rotations and boards offs with very high loops without any pull. The loops in this short clip are proper megaloops with lots of pull.
Which brings us back to - why would he when he got a 9.4 without it?
I honestly think he would have won if he hadn't gotten such a high score on the first day. Like Giel he would have adjusted. When you get a 9.4 the first day there really isn't much point in trying to change things.

But more technical. More innovative. For me that counts more. If I were judge, my results would differ. Not in the final though, nothing to complain here.
