Naish pivot 10m

Postby Kitedicted » Thu May 26, 2022 6:44 pm

So I am in love with my 8m pivot, I used to have a 9 and it was great too. I haven't been very stoked on my 11m, it has this medium bar pressure and sort of delayed slowish turning. Great boosting and hang time. So what I am asking is if the 10 still has that quick feathery feeling as the 9 and down or if the 10 also feels sluggish. I read the new 12 is better so might opt for 12/10/8 to avoid the 11 and keep at least two fun kites (10 and 8). So has anyone here tried 12/11 AND 10m?

Thanks

If you didn t like the 11 you are not going to like 12 at all. You might like the 10 tho but wont be as good as the nine or the 8
The bigger the slower

Yeah 10 might be almost a 1 kite quiver for me. However did you try both 10 and 9 pivots? Quite a big difference in feel between the 11 and 9/8 in my opinion. The 10 is the mystery one for me

I have an 8,10,12 . I use them for strapless surfboard and twintip. I like the 10m especially for twintip jumping.
It’s fast enough for me. The 12 does have more bar pressure but is fun on a twintip.

Thanks, do you have the s26 12m? Supposedly it's a little faster with lower bar pressure. My thought was that with 12/10/8 I would only use 12 up to 16-18 knots. Since I love the way the 9 and 8 feel but the 11 is only decent (used to have a 14 as well didn't love it). Of course ideal is to just try one but demos are not that easy to come by. I feel like the pivots get higher and higher bar pressure the larger they get and feel less and less direct. That's why I'm wondering if the 10 feels more like the 9/8 or more like the 11/12, maybe difficult to answer

My 12 is S25 or 1 year year before. If you have the 8, the 9 will be too close. So the 10 is good. I don't know how it compares to the 11.
The bar pressure is definitely lower than the 12. I also put the lines at the outermost attachment on the kite to increase speed lower bar pressure.
